Ten feet for furniture away from the wall

Ten feet is for furniture that does not touch the outlet wall: a bed with nightstands on both sides, a sofa with a lamp and a phone charger at the far arm, a desk that faces into the room instead of the wall. The extra four feet over the shortest cord let the strip sit where your plugs are, not where your outlet happens to be.
Run the spare length along the wall and behind furniture, not across the floor where people walk. CPSC warns that a rug or a piece of furniture resting on a cord can crush the insulation, so if the only route is under the rug, the strip belongs on the other side of the room. The hook-and-loop tie on the cord holds the slack in a loose loop.
The 10 ft strip is part of the Alestor lineup, $29.99 in our last update, with the same twelve outlets and four USB ports as every other length.

About the Alestor 10 ft strip
Will your 10 ft Alestor cord reach a bed in the middle of the room?
Usually, if the headboard sits within about eight feet of the outlet along the wall. Measure along the baseboard rather than across the floor, because the cord should not cross a walkway or run under a rug. If the route is longer, the 15 or 20 ft strip is the one.
Which colors can you get the 10 ft Alestor strip in?
Black, white and gray, at the same price in our last update. All three have the same outlets and cord.
