Where six feet is enough

Six feet covers a desk or a TV stand that stands against the wall with the outlet behind or beside it. The strip can sit on the floor under the desk, hang from its keyhole slots under the desktop, or lie behind the stand, and the cord still reaches the outlet without being pulled tight. It is also the length most people pick for a nightstand next to the bed.
Measure before you settle on it. If the outlet is on the next wall or behind a dresser, six feet runs out quickly once the cord follows the baseboard. A cord that only reaches when it is stretched across a walkway is too short, and the fix is the 10 ft strip, not a second extension cord. The strip is meant to plug straight into the wall.
The 6 ft strip is part of the Alestor power range, $16.14 to $22.99 in our last update, with the same twelve outlets and four USB ports as every other length.

03Questions
About the Alestor 6 ft strip
Is your 6 ft Alestor strip long enough for a desk?
For a desk against the wall with the outlet behind it, yes, with room to spare for the cord to drop to the floor and run to the outlet. If the outlet is on the next wall or behind other furniture, measure the route first. Past about five feet of route, the 10 ft cord is the safer pick.
Do you get the same outlets on the 6 ft Alestor strip as on the long ones?
Yes. Twelve AC outlets, four USB ports and the 2,700-joule circuit are the same on every length. Only the cord changes, and the shortest cord is the one that leaves the least slack to tidy away.
